Subscription Questions

  1. If I purchase a digital subscription, will I be able to view it on my iPad or iPhone?

Yes! All digital subscriptions can be accessed by logging into your account through the iPad or iPhone app.

  1. I purchased my iPad subscription through my device. Can I access it on my computer?

No. Any subscription purchased directly through Apple's in-app purchasing on your iPad or iPhone will only work on your iOS-app enabled mobile devices (that are logged into the same Apple ID). For full digital access with all subscriber benefits and discount options, purchase your online digital subscription at pglinks.net/Digital, which you can access through your iPad or iPhone app by logging into your Pilot Getaways account.

  1. I want both the iPad and print subscription. How do I access both?

  1. Will I be able to access the AACA database with my iPad subscription?

All registered subscriptions, whether digital, iPad, or print, come with free access to the American Air Campers Association (AACA) database. Be sure to sign up through pglinks.net/Digital to gain full subscriber discounts and benefits.

  1. How do I view past issues on my iPad?

Pilot Getaways is producing new issues in digital format on a consistent basis and we currently have a number of back issues available digitally. We are continuing to convert our back issues for digital delivery, but it will take some time to get all issues developed, proccessed, and loaded into the system.

Each issue added to our archives becomes immediately available for single-issue purchase. As our entire back-issue archive is loaded into the system, we anticipate offerings similar to our print back-issues, such as single issues, packaged issues, and all-issue specials (once available).

  1. How do I cancel my auto-renewing subscription?

Go to your account at pglinks.net/Digital to manage, upgrade, or change the terms of your registered subscription, including cancelling your auto-renewal.

Using the App

  1. How do I turn pages and browse through the magazine?


In the "Reader," you can swipe the screen left and right to read the edition using touch screen navigation. You can also tap the arrows on the navigation bar to flick between pages or choose the front/back page.

  1. Can I zoom in on a page?

Double tap on the area of the page you wish to zoom into. A final double tap will reset to default level. Pinch-to-zoom is also enabled for zooming in and out.

  1. How do I go straight to a specific page?


You can enter a page number in the navigation bar or choose the “Pages” tab and scroll through mini-thumbnails to pick the one required.

  1. Can I read the content offline, or save subscription and purchased issues to my iPad or iPhone?


Yes, you can download your full issues to your device, and access them offline at any time. In addition, you can download and save full issues and single pages through the "Reader"; simply tap on the menu tab and choose "Download." During the download process a progress bar will appear in the “Downloads” section of the app, which stores your library of saved issues and pages.

  1. I found something I want to invite my friends to read. How do I do let them know?


Tap on the menu tab at the top of the edition, then tap on “Share” for Facebook, Twitter, and email.

  1. I'm looking for a specific destination or activity. How do I do a search?

Content in a single edition can be searched on your iPad either via the search tab at the top of the screen or using the menu tab and selecting “Search.” To search multiple, or all of the, editions in your archive, go to your account on pglinks.net/Digital, and select the drop-down advanced search options from any page in the Reader. You can then make note of which editions carry your desired information, and access them through the App.
